Rut Ro

I just realized what a horrible blogger I have been.  I guess it is time for me to sit down when I have some free time (what is that again?) and update my miracle baby Bryce's Blog. Thank goodness he is only two and does not realize I am slacking.....

Bryce's 1st Vacation

Well, Clay had an opportunity to go to Destin for an RV show to work and being as my birthday was the day before he decided to make a quick family vacation out of it. I had no idea how much stuff you need for one baby when you leave home for 5 days. Phew, it was a ton of work to pack all of his stuff.

I must say Bryce is an A+ traveler. He did awesome on the 4.5 hour ride there. Bryce got to experience his first hotel stay, first trip to the water park and his first trip to the beach. He did good almost the whole trip until he got a little bit of a cold but other than that he was a joy to bring.

5 months

Bryce Clayton Kruse

Well, here goes....

I went in on Tuesday December 15th at 8:00 to start my induction. Once we got settled they called my OB for instruction. She said that she wanted to start the Pitocin at 4:00 on December 16th. I was already contracting on my own every 5 minutes and didn't even know it. I tried to get some sleep because I knew it would be a long day but that is impossible to do with the blood pressure going off every 15 minutes and constantly having to buzz the nurse to go to the bathroom...LOL

Around 4:15 am they started my pitocin at 2 ml and they were supposed to up in by 2 every 15 minutes. At 5:35 am they checked my cervix and I was 3 cm dilated. At 7:00 they had the shift change and they were still uping my pitocin. I was still hanging in there and the contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. My new nurse came in around 7:35 to introduce herself and ask how I was doing. I was starting to hurt a little but not too much. She informed me my OB was going to come by soon and break my water. Well that is when it got crazy. I finally asked for something for pain around 7:45 or so. She said let me go page the anesthesiologist. She came back at 8:00 to bring in the pump and the cart. I was in the worse pain of my life. Clay was freaking out trying to calm me down. I was flopping back and forth in agony. Around 8:09 she said let me check you and I could not sit still. I wanted my pain meds NOW!!!! She checked and she hit her panic button on her shirt. I had no idea what was going on. All I knew is my butt was killing me and I was speaking in another language. The pain was unreal. My OB was at the hospital chairing a meeting that morning. I kept screaming please help me get him NOW!!! Still nobody telling me what is going on. At 8:11 they stopped the pitocin and there was every nurse from L&D in my room within seconds. They told me to stop pushing and remain calm. Still nobody telling me anything. Clay was tearing up and trying to calm me down. At 8:19 the OB came running in in her dress clothes. She was not happy from what my husband tells me. She said hang on honey. I cursed her out (sorry I was hurting) she was literally holding my son's head as the nurse was dressing her. I had no idea until my hubby told me later. They barely got my legs in stirrups and the next thing I know Bryce was on my chest screaming. It was so surreal. I had no idea I had crowned him and all on my own and nobody knew. I remember Clay telling me I can see his head and I said I son't give a sh*t please help me.At 8:21 am Bryce was here. He said he has never felt more helpless in his entire life. I had a 2nd degree tear and they had to stitch me up. Bryce Clayton Kruse came out in one push weighing 7 lbs 7 ounces and 20 inches long. I had him naturally....

They went back and looked at my strip. I was never not contracting. They were coming back to back at the highest peak and level. Clay went out in the hall to follow Bryce to the nursery and my OB was reaming someone a new rear end and my nurse was never seen again. I think she screwed up royally from what my best friend says who happens to be a L&D nurse an hour away. My pitocin was at 28 by 8:00 am. Do the math....that is way to much to quick. I am just relieved that it is over and that our miracle is here.
